Artist's Comments

This is my first piece of AS art homework. We had to pick a headline (mine was about the singer Alex Parks' new album) and set up a still life from the meaning of the title and article. I've never set up a still life and it was great fun, but seeing as I used a flower which wasn't in water (so it wilted) and I set it up on my piano (which I cannot go very long without playing) I didn't really have as much time to work on it as I probably should have left.
And the flower is there for a reason, it's an anenome which means 'sincerity' - a synyomythingy for honesty (I couldn't find a flower which meant honesty exactly that was in bloom).
I've still got to work on the flower though, but any suggestions for improvements would be great!

Awwww wow thats rlly cool! I rlly like the cd thats joining with the piano keys, and the crumpled paper with writing on is rlly cool :D gr8 work! i dont rlly know what u could do 2 improve as i havent seen the still life set up soz but its rlly well done :)

v. cool, try smudging ur pencil sometimes :P i am the master of the smudge, at the cost of detail tho :(

bah, only said that cos i cant think of anything decent to say...

Beautifully done! :D Colour wouldnt suit that piece at all! I love the detail youve put into looks awesome :D

Yeah, it was a pretty much blck+wht pic neway, but I did want to add in the subtle pink blush of the anenome and its reflection. It was so sweet and feminine.

smudging is for lazy people. plus, as you mentioned, it looses detail (and causes my sister to beat me).
neway, the pic looks grainier here because it is larger than original.

wow this is really really good actually I love the shine on the cd and how the writing is all thingo cause of the creases/crumpledness ok i dont make sense ummm what to do, what to do... *runs*
